Natural History Museum

Wildlife of Brandenburg

Wolf, Wisent and Catfish: The Museum of Natural History exhibits species of indigenous mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects in their natural habitats. A highlight is the freshwater aquarium, where more than 40 living fish species can be observed. Some exhibits, as for example, “Tierisches Leben im UNESCO-Welterbe” (Animal wildlife in the UNESCO-world heritage) and “In der Spur des Menschen” (Human footprints), display all the information in english as well. Nevertheless, there are no texts needed to enjoy the lovingly created dioramas in the museum.
